Our College Rules & Norms

At Chandra Chellappan College of Education, we uphold a set of principles that create a nurturing, respectful, and safe environment where students thrive academically and personally.

Attendance & Punctuality

  • Regular attendance is mandatory; students should attend at least 90% of college days.
  • Parents must notify the college in advance in case of absence or medical leave.
  • Late arrivals disrupt learning; students must arrive before the first bell.
  • Unexcused absences may lead to parent-teacher meetings and corrective action.

Code of Conduct & Respect

  • Respect teachers, staff, peers, and college property at all times.
  • Zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior.
  • Maintain polite and positive communication in all college interactions.
  • Resolve conflicts peacefully and seek help from counselors if needed.

Dress Code

  • Wear the official college uniform neatly every day, including shoes and accessories.
  • Hair should be clean and neatly groomed; extreme hairstyles or colors are discouraged.
  • On special occasions or casual days, dress appropriately as per college guidelines.
  • Improper attire may lead to warnings and requirement to change before class.

Academic Integrity

  • Complete your own work honestly; plagiarism or cheating is strictly prohibited.
  • Respect intellectual property by citing sources and acknowledging help.
  • Follow exam rules and maintain academic honesty at all times.
  • Violations will lead to disciplinary review, including possible suspension.

Safety & Security

  • Follow all safety instructions, including fire drills and emergency procedures.
  • Possession or use of harmful substances, weapons, or dangerous items is forbidden.
  • Report suspicious behavior or hazards to staff immediately.
  • Respect the college’s property and help maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.

Technology Use

  • Use computers, tablets, and internet access for educational purposes only.
  • Do not share personal information or access inappropriate content online.
  • Respect privacy by not recording or sharing images without permission.
  • Report any cyberbullying or technical issues to college IT support immediately.

Parental Cooperation

  • Maintain regular communication with teachers and college administrators.
  • Attend scheduled parent-teacher meetings and college events.
  • Support college rules and encourage responsible behavior at home.
  • Ensure timely fee payments and fulfill all obligations to the college.

Environmental Responsibility

  • Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, playgrounds, and campus grounds.
  • Participate in green initiatives like recycling and energy conservation.
  • Respect college gardens, plants, and wildlife habitats on campus.
  • Report any littering or damage to college property to staff promptly.

Extracurricular Participation

  • Students are encouraged to participate in sports, arts, clubs, and community service.
  • Respect team rules and show sportsmanship and cooperation.
  • Attendance and punctuality at extracurricular activities are mandatory.
  • Use extracurricular participation to develop leadership and teamwork skills.

Transportation Rules

  • Students must follow safety rules on college buses and authorized transport.
  • Be respectful to the driver, attendants, and fellow passengers.
  • Bus privileges may be revoked for misconduct or safety violations.
  • Parents must ensure timely drop-off and pick-up of their children if not using college transport.
